My first experience at a race track was in Track day for Electric Vehicles in August 2023. Even though I had always liked driving, I couldn’t anticipate how much more I would enjoy driving on a race track. I was immediately hooked. Into TimeAttack I ended up in the next summer when the EV class was launched for the first time. Even though I was in deep water, I figured that there aren’t too many opportunities to be part of something new. And I’m really glad I participated in the first ever event with EV class in Mantorp in summer 2024.

In TimeAttack I love the community working together in the goal of chasing that one perfect lap. While it is a competition you are mainly competing against yourself in the goal of improving yourself and your best lap times. The format also suits Electric Vehicles really well, since one can do cool-down laps between the fast laps making the thermal management more manageable. Furthermore, it really is a format that also is friendly for newcomers since the driving is done against the clock, not other cars.
